Oil and Gas Knowledge Frameworks

Gevenue have developed a specific applications set for Oil&Gas sector, that allow to manage the critical processes associated to the oil perforation, administration and assets maintenance, anomalies management and measurements accomplishment.

Activities management of perforation and services to marine deposits
Predictive Maintenance of Dynamic Equipment in Marine Platforms
Static Equipment Inspection in marine platforms
Security anomalies Management, health and environmental protection of superficial facilities
Workflow of historical well engineering data
Wells measurements management

Activities management of perforation and services to marine deposits:

The oil perforation and marine assets repair imply a high technical complexity where besides the operation itself, each of unproductive hours of work costs money to E&P companies. Gevenue takes advantage of its integration capabilities, and of its workflow and Web environment to provide graphical planning tools and work activities follow up, that allow identifying and controlling the conflicting points that need faster decision makings. These tools represent a high value for the business because they have very specific planning personalization tools and graphical control functionalities, and are also easy to implement.

Predictive Maintenance of Dynamic Equipment in Marine Platforms:

The oil production marine platforms contain a lot of dynamic equipment that works in movement (rotative/alternative) and form part or supports the production line: turbo pumps, motobombs, compressors, turbocompressors, ELTS generator, among others, where service that develop is critical for the marine oil production. The traditional maintenance approaches as corrective (after to have produced a fault) or the preventive one (inspection and replacements by calendar) they have demonstrated not to be sufficient and to have caused highest operative costs by non - availability (downtime), since the times available or spare part are not always fast and feasible due to the distance.

The approach of predictive maintenance defines that when the user periodically obsers the operation parameters of equipment like pressure, temperature, cost, volume, speed, revolution, vibration, consumption, among others; deviations of these values can possibly be displayed and critical equipment faults can "be predicted" before they happen. For that reason the equipment is inspected daily and a report with all the operation parameters of dynamic equipment of platforms is registered in Gevenue. This information is validated in an approval workflow and all the deflections are controlled through a dashboard with customized graphs. Any non valid information detected is managed in a workflow where it is reviewed and soon the order of maintenance is sent to the corporate module for corrective maintenance, but this is done before the fault was caused.

Static Equipment Inspection in marine platforms:

The marine environment is demanding for the facilities of oil production. The pressures lines composed by ducts, valves, containers and the structures that support them represent a challenge because of the marine corrosion and the pressures and extreme temperatures that suffers the operation. For that reason, it is very important to maintain very close observed the mechanical integrity of these facilities because, in case of seeing it affected by these factors, the employees would be exposed to serious risks the employees, and also the production.

The implemented solution with Gevenue allows to manage the periodic inspection process these facilities need. During this process, each component of each line is reviewed, obtaining a dashboard where is detailed the general state of the pressure lines. This allows the analysis and decision making, improving the corporate operative norms.

Security anomalies Management, health and environmental protection of superficial facilities:

Recently, one of the most important challenges of the E & P business is to reduce and eliminate the risks that the operation in the field represents to the industrial safety and the environmental protection (SIPA). This problem involves enormous efforts to achieve an organizational and culture operational change for the companies. During the last years, strict international norms and complex organizational systems began governing this business aspect, because throughout the history of the exploration and oil production not only accidents but true industrial and environmental catastrophes have been registered, which are inadmissible in the XXI century, as much for the companies as for the local communities. The commitments imposed by the certifications of "Clean Industry" demand, among other things, a follow up of the state and quality of the already used infrastructure

The implemented solution with Gevenue, controls the registry process and infrastructure anomalies correction that put in risk the industrial security and the environmental protection.
Thus the different operation areas can report in a Web site published in the corporate Intranet, any condition of any installation that they have inspected. Then is triggered a workflow that consist on reviewing the anomaly, to determine budget and planned correction date, to assign the management and correction department that corresponds according to the anomaly, and to make the follow up until the closing process, supported by a suitable evidence. All this made by a system that notifies by email, it sends automatically work orders and offers a control dashboard with clear and precise statistics of the anomalies situation within the correction process.

Workflow of historical well engineering data:

The technical information about old oil wells is increasingly valuable for the E&P business as during the perforation a series of precise and expensive to collect data is picked about the subsoil, the geologic formation, and of the hydrocarbon deposits. Nevertheless, these data registered in old and dispersed logs, cannot be turned into information available for the business, if they are not previously compiled in a unique repository, in which they can be validated, depurated and standardized following international petrotecnics norms.

The engineering load data process must be performed in a ordered sequence which is initiated with the understanding and visualization of the mechanical status of the oil well, then the information about the perforation used mud, then the information related to the crossed rocks (geology and litology), then the geophysical records, then the deposits reached during the different production stages, and finally the monthly historical production of each producing well stage; and also the basic pressure well tests data, the lab analyses of well cores and finally the current well status.

Thus the information can be consolidated in a dashboard that totalizes the partial productions of oil, gas and water, ordered by field, deposit, production sand and well stage producer. The data capture forms contain innumerable validation business rules that really increase the data quality and finally, the value of these data for the business.

TThanks to Gevenue’s characteristics, it is possible to order the well technical data entry process in a workflow, to validate these data in the picking process, applying particular rules with its business rule engine and consolidating the partial information in a unique corporate well file which is an automatic generated document allowing to totalize the historic production partial information in Gevenue’s dashboards.

All this functionality, combined in a unified environment, integrating it with the corporatetechnical data bases and with the other processes of data management established by the company.

Oil Wells measurements management:

The production volumes of oil, gas and water of ground oil wells possibly need to be reviewed as much as periodically to evaluate the characteristics and conditions of the deposit’s declination.

The wells can be operated with stimulations or directly repaired to increase their declining production volume. Due to the great amount of dispersed wells in the geographic extension, this can represent a real challenge for the organization composed by supervisors, field engineers and the wells to be measured.

The Gevenue BPMS characteristics allow the field supervisor to determine which are the wells next to measure, according to specific criteria and to organize the well allocations measurement between the field engineers, being provided to them an optimal trip ticket to cross the flow stations, connecting and disconnecting wells to the separation batteries measurement diminishing the transfers and trips performed by the engineers between the work points, according to the priorities defined by the supervisor.

In addition, Gevenue automatically sends notifications through electronic mailing to the involved functionaries during the process, and also the times of management are signalized to control that no well is forgotten to be measured
Because of the increasing participation of Gevenue in this industry, there are more solutions in development, with outsanding application possibilities and a relevant application opportunity in the automation and control of oil wells in the E&P business.
